When we explore the intersections of nature and wellness through daily practice, we emphasize the importance of Indigenous traditional knowledge in understanding our connection to the land. These educational resources showcase how the health of the environment directly influences our well-being, offering insights and practices rooted in Indigenous wisdom. By rediscovering these teachings, we aim to foster a deeper appreciation for nature and promote sustainable practices for individuals and communities.

simply rediscovering traditional ways of knowing and being.

Our environment holds great wisdom.

Our mountains and waters have existed since time immemorial and will continue to be here to provide for future generations.

We must slow down and rediscover the things that amaze us.

Daily practices improve the wellbeing of ourselves and our communities.

We are simply rediscovering how to be in these spaces of co-learning and community.

By sharing land-based learning tools, our experiences become the basis for community-based learning and healing.

Hello! My name is Pearl and I take up space in this world as an Indigenous woman, a friend, a daughter, a traveler, an artist, a cook, and a life-long learner as an educator.

I was lucky enough to grow up in the Coast Salish region which includes both Washington State and the lower mainland of British Columbia, Canada.

I am pursuing a life dedicated to adapting elementary education curriculum to promote multiple ways of knowing and being through a wellness perspective. I am inspired to work with children as they find new connections and explore their relationship with the world around them.

Through my work I hope to allow space for sustainable community models to grow. I love spending my time hiking, traveling, cooking and advocating for social and political justice reform. In my spare time I grow my own food as I continue to practice living in balance.
